The zpe carbon bicycle rims factory has a complete quality control system to ensure the quality of each carbon rims and carbon wheels. At the same time, with our self-developed ERP system, each carbon rims has a unique barcode, which makes the quality control work more efficient
Raw material inspection
Check all the raw materials carefully. A high-quality carbon fiber prepreg with appropriate weight, fiber grade, resin, thickness and uniform packaging is required.
Check the size of the cut prepreg. We carry out production planning according to each product of the customer, and each worker will get the exact distribution quantity every day.
Check After Lay up
Each carbon fiber rim requires 30-40 layers of carbon fiber prepreg. Our most experienced workers apply the prepreg by hand, most of the rim processing process takes 30-45 minutes.
After lamination, our quality inspection department will carefully check the weight, size, hole number and code of each rim sleeve.
Check the mold before molding. We use the latest generation of machinery to achieve the most stable temperature and air pressure throughout the heating, curing and cooling process. In a period of about 45 minutes, through careful control of all aspects, we can make the rim have a perfect surface effect.
1.Check rim quality, sizing and appearance after molding.Between the manufacturing process of each bicycle rim, we carry out quality checks at every step. Check the rims or parts carefully and weigh them with a gram scale. If you want to pass and continue to the next process, the weight must be within close tolerances. The weight and worker ID# are recorded on the computer to keep the record permanently.
2.Check to make sure no residue inside the rim, correct hole drilling, roundness and flatness after machining.
Extra resin that has wicked away during the curing process is removed, and the spoke holes are deburred.
3.Check flatness, smoothness and sizing after sanding.
4.Check Carbon rim apprearance after painting.Rim graphics are applied, and a clear coat is applied (if applicable to protect waterslide decals). Glossy, Satin, and Matte finishes, and customized graphics are available.
Final QC Check
In addition to standard quality control checks, we also check roundness (must be within 0.2mm), flatness (within 0.15mm), and perform tire pressure checks on certain products.
All 30 QC workers for one rim get recorded.QC data not only tells whether the rim is normal or bad, but also lets you know what happened in our production line. Data is our precious wealth.
